  • I offer psychotherapy that can address issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, loss, or relationship distress. I also have expertise in guiding people through difficult “crossroads” moments such as divorce, serious medical diagnosis, and caring for an ailing loved one.

    I also offer medication management for issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and smoking cessation. This work happens within the therapeutic relationship, making for a comprehensive treatment.

  • My training as a nurse practitioner and ongoing refinement in depth psychotherapy have allowed me to develop a close attunement. This enables me to take into account the somatic as it expresses the emotional complexity of a person’s experience.

    The depth work I do entails taking the therapeutic relationship seriously, and taking unconscious processes into consideration. This is typically a longer-term treatment, which is different than a short term Cognitive Behavioral or Solutions-Focused Therapy.

  • I maintain a small private practice and work mostly with people paying cash/credit card, or FSA/HSA card. This allows for the utmost discretion in doing thoughtful work without constraint.

    If you would like to use insurance, I am in-network with Regence, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and Moda. Otherwise, check with your insurance provider if you can access out-of-network benefits to get reimbursement for a portion of the session fee.

  • I do not see children, just adults. Anywhere from young adulthood to elderhood.

  • Yes, I treat ADHD. In my experience, this can be a poorly understood diagnosis, and one that can be masked by anxiety, poor mood, inertia, and feelings of low self-esteem.

  • Yes. Most of the work I do resides in this nuanced area of psychotherapy and psychiatry.

  • I have been told I have a warm, comfortable style. If we decide to work together, I would start with an assessment that would gather information about symptoms, personal and family background, and life circumstances that are playing out currently.

    From there, we would meet weekly to dive in further. My approach is relational, where together we co-create meaning and understanding of your experience.

  • The depth-oriented work I do requires unhurried time. My weekly sessions are 50-minute hours. Sometimes the work is brief - maybe a few months. Sometimes the work develops into years of maintaining what becomes an important ritual.
